In
the European Ministerial Conference eHealth 2003, which
took place in Brussels in May 2003, the most outstanding services which
use advanced information and communications technology were presented.
There
were hundreds of submissions but only 33 were selected. 
Dr.
Elias Papazissis gave a lecture on the subject "Advanced
Technology Permits the Provision of Advanced Hospital Care in the Patients'
Homes". The

The
Greek Ministers K.Stefanis (Minister of Health) and E.Stratakis
(Minister of Telecommunications and Transportation) expressed
their interest on the system of Home Hospitalization.
Mr. Christian Paggetti, Biomedical Engineer and Evaluator,
congratulated Dr. Papazissis as
well as ATKOSoft for the advanced Home Care Services, that impressed all
the evaluators.
Mr Jean Claude Healy, Head of Unit (Information Society
Technologies: Systems and Services for the Citizen, Applications relating
to health), 
granted
the honorary title.

the end of the Conference with the General Manager of Attikon
Hospital N. Polyzos (today he is the General Secretary of the Ministry of Health) and the Greek Project Officer I.Iakovidis (today he is Deputy Head, ICT for Health unit of the European Commission).
